STEPS and international ed-tech

Monday, August 24, 2009

This article popped up on my RSS feed this morning. It led me to the study of the impact of technology in primary schools (STEPS) program site. Dereks blog article, and the STEPS site are especially interesting.  I’m looking forward to reading the full study.

I find international research on educational technology fascinating.  I wrote a paper on the educational value of smart boards (interactive white boards) for a class I was taking last year.  The best research was coming out of the United Kingdom, who has invested heavily in smartboards.  I hope to move to Poland for a year, and the STEPS report will have a lot of data on all participating nations, Poland included.

Polish Resume

This is my full resume translated into Polish. My wife tells me it is a literal translation, and as such might convey a slightly different meaning to Polish speakers.
